RN - Endoscopy-Phoenix-AZ

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Prepares patients before procedures, assists the endoscopy team during procedures, monitors patients throughout recovery, and supports safe, high-quality patient care.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

1–2 years of endoscopy, procedural, perioperative, or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Experience with sedation, GI procedures, and post-procedure recovery is preferred.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

BLS certification required.

ACLS certification required or preferred based on patient population and facility requirements.

• Assess and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including reviewing medical history and required documentation.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, cardiac rhythm, and patient response before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, sedation, and other prescribed treatments safely.
• Assist physicians and the endoscopy team during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Recognize and respond promptly to complications, adverse reactions, and changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, discharge instructions, and patient education.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control, patient safety, and endoscopy standards.
