What You Will Be Doing

The Fulfillment Specialist at the Central Fulfillment Center is responsible for working in a closed‑door, fast‑paced pharmacy production line and will be involved in the processing and shipping of prescription orders. Under the supervision of the PIC/Group Supervisor, the Fulfillment Specialist will also be receiving inventory, scanning, sorting, manifesting, and shipping the prescription orders using automated equipment/conveyor systems. The Fulfillment Specialist will work as part of a team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of orders and maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to help meet team goals.

The position is based in Phoenix, AZ. The shift arrangement is typically a 40‑hour workweek with occasional overtime. The Fulfillment Specialists work on 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Main Responsibilities
  • Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety and security procedures and processes of the company.
  • Assist with preparation of intra‑facility transfers (i.e. completed prescription orders) for delivery to stores.
  • Maintain automated production lines, inspect/prepare packages, sort, and apply manifest information to prescription orders.
  • Organize totes on pallets to prepare for shipment. Work with transportation partners to ship completed totes to stores.
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions. Escalate technical and workflow issues as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors.
  • Assist with replenishment of supplies and cleaning of workstations as needed.
  • Create and maintain documentation as requested.
  • Assist Inventory Technicians as requested. Participate in Inventory Audits.
  • Other duties as assigned concomitant with all applicable laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years of experience in a retail or fulfillment center environment.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed with the Board of Pharmacy in Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous experience working with an inventory management system, including scanning equipment, conveyor lines, and/or robotic systems.
