Barista​/Cashier

Job Overview

At The Delicatessen the barista will prepare custom coffee beverages & also act as a cashier. To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for customer service and have an introductory skillset of a barista.

• Greet customers, present bakery and drink menus, answer questions and offer recommendations
• Take orders while paying attention to details
• Prepare barista style beverages following recipes
• Serve beverages with aesthetically pleasing presentation
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including coffee and drink making equipment
• Comply with safety regulation

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 6 months experience as a barista or counter service
• Positive attitude with outgoing and friendly personality
• Cashier experience and basic math skills needed
• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends
• Is professional and punctual
• Team player who is reliable, dependable, and self‑motivated
