Overview

We are seeking entry-level, full-time Retail Sales Associates to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the store team to provide customer service on both lending and retail transactions. This role greets, engages, and assists customers, processes sales and loans, and helps with problem resolution. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and other items.

Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate

Pay:
Hourly wage plus eligibility for commission based on productivity. Pay rate range: $15.25 to $18.00 per hour

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures and maintain the sales floor, stock, and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries and problem resolution.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and fulfill other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties that may require standing, walking, and other physical activities.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation, team player, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling experience is preferred; ability to operate POS systems and office equipment.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and basic math skills.

• Commission plan:
  First Cash Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal performance. Details provided during interview.
