• Perform in‑depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and site visits to determine and advise on overall project requirements.
• Prepare estimates and quotes for each project using estimation software tools; respond to customer requests for information such as RFIs and RFPs.
• Understand customer requirements and articulate the value proposition of Convergint products and services.
• Provide input, review and coordination of shop drawings and wiring diagrams based on project plans for completeness.
• Advise Sales Professional and Project Manager regarding necessary products and identify items with longer lead times.
• Prepare and/or review formal submittal booklets, containing schematics and technical literature to support contracts.
• Develop solutions that meet customer requirements and collaborate with the sales team to create implementation plans.
• Possibly develop incremental new business in the assigned territory.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles related to building automation, fire alarm or electronic security systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must reside in the Northern Tucson Territory.

Education:

College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience:

1–3 years in sales engineering, estimating or equivalent.
