Assistant Security Account Manager – Allied Universal

Job Overview

Allied Universal is looking to hire an Assistant Account Manager. The role supports the Account Manager with supervisory, training, and operations functions at the assigned post in accordance with post orders and client instructions. The position includes a comprehensive week‑long management onboarding course to provide best practices, tools, and guidance. The annual pay is $68,640.00.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Account Manager in coordinating all aspects of executing the security contract at the assigned location.
  • Assign and direct work tasks to Security Professionals throughout the day.
  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and train shift supervisors or Security Professionals regarding performance, operations, and department needs.
  • Ensure Post Order manual and all training information are properly maintained and updated; keep the post clean and organized.
  • Assist the Account Manager in conducting interviews, evaluating new employees, and providing on‑the‑job training.
  • Oversee all reports, logs, and pass‑downs; distribute communications to Security Professionals as directed.
  • Manage sub‑units within the Security Department and generate work orders for extra coverage.
  • Respond to incidents, complete reports, and notify appropriate parties promptly.
  • Identify personnel problems and forward issues to the Account Manager or Field Supervisor; may assist with investigations.
  • Make recommendations for counseling or disciplinary action, including termination, under direction of the Account Manager.
  • Respond to client or site emergencies and maintain positive client/security relationships.
  • Occasionally perform Security Professional duties, not exceeding 50% of total workweek.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional‑level experience; prior experience in security industry, law enforcement, and/or military required.
  • Valid state Guard License; must complete background investigation and drug/alcohol test. Must maintain active Guard License while employed.
  • For driving positions, a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record.
  • Energetic, focused personality with initiative, multitasking ability, and strong customer service orientation.
  • Professional, articulate, and able to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to train and coach others and enforce post orders and company policies consistently.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Available to work outside normal shift schedule on an as‑needed basis and accessible by phone or pager 24/7 for emergency response.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College education or business classes.
  • Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email.
