Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries, primarily Retail/Malls. The role is part‑time, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you while exploring new opportunities on our Claim a Shift platform.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Saturday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM;
Sunday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by following security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or security‑related incidents to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Assist visitors, employees, and/or customers with directions and information while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits as assigned.
• Complete daily activity reports and/or incident documentation as required by site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
