We are seeking dedicated and reliable mechanical laborer to join our dynamic solar installation team. As a Solar Technician, you will play a crucial role in the successful deployment of solar energy systems by assisting in various tasks, including assembling racking systems, installing solar panels, and supporting equipment management. This position requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reports to the Mechanical Foreman.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Solar Panel Installation:Assist in the assembly and installation of racking systems and solar panels, ensuring all components are securely and accurately positioned.
- Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Mechanical Foreman and fellow technicians to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to project specifications. - Equipment Handling:Under supervision, manage and transport tools and materials to and from the job site, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Site Maintenance:Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Problem-Solving:Address and resolve minor issues that may arise during installation, escalating more complex problems to the Mechanical Foreman as needed.
- Training and Development:Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and knowledge related to solar installations and safety practices.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred; experience in solar installations is a plus.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely; basic understanding of electrical systems is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain.
