THE POSITION We’re looking for a full-time General Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee electricians at construction sites. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, the General Foreman will be a key person for the completion of a project. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical construction with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to make quick decisions.

This person will be well organized and must have a safety-first mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise field production activities to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, teamwork, pride, and development of the team.
  • Ensure work is performed according to company standards and project specifications, including planning and managing labor, materials, and production on electrical construction projects.
  • Create a material buy-out before the job begins.
  • Plan work and labor requirements for at least 3 weeks ahead.
  • Complete As-Built Drawings and order materials weekly.
  • File daily reports and report all incidents.
  • Manage all project close-out processes and budget control (manage site costs).
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Management team and the customer/General Contractor.
  • Draft RFIs and submit them to the PM team.
  • Enforce all HR/Company policies and safety policies; perform disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Enter and approve timecards for the crew.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of commercial/industrial foreman electrical experience
  • Experience working in data centers and high-rise projects preferred
  • Experience leading crews of 20+ employees
  • Advanced skills in reading plans, submittals, and specifications
  • Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 and current electrical codes and installation methods
  • Experience in installing power systems—lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks
  • Ability to order and track materials, perform job cost projections, and develop “as-builts”
  • Proficient in construction software as required
  • Clean background and driving record
  • Ability to manage projects of $5M and larger
  • Physical ability to reach overhead, lift 75 pounds, and push/pull materials
  • Ability to work in various positions—stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, etc.
  • Work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 100°F regularly

Pay ranges from $45 to $50 hourly
