We are a structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector looking for a dedicated full‑time Fitter/Welder (Structural Steel) to join our fabrication shop. This position offers a Monday‑Friday schedule (40+ hours per week), a competitive hourly rate of $19‑$24 (depending on experience), and opportunities for advancement after the first 90 days.

• Accurately layout & fit‑up steel per shop drawings.
• Properly set up welding machine/wire feeder and adjust settings as required.
• Verify and ensure fit‑up of full penetration welds complies with plans, AWS D1.1, and welding requirements.
• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Perform welds per AWS D1.1 specification.
• Produce clean welds with no inclusions, undercut, or porosity.
• Clean all slag/splatter from welds and surrounding area.
• Maintain and store equipment properly during and after use.
• Grinding, cleaning, beveling fit‑up of welds where required.

• MIG welding with solid‑core gas‑shielded wire (light welding of railings/misc. steel).
• Ability to weld mild steel over 1‑1/2" thickness.

• 3‑5 years’ experience in structural steel fitting, layout, and welding using the flux‑cored welding process.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
• Safety‑oriented with OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
• Team player, punctual, and motivated.
• Pass in‑shop layout/fit‑up test.
• Capability to bring welding hood, gloves, jacket for a fillet test to assess tack welding.
• Valid identification.
• Background check and drug screening will be performed prior to hire.

• Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
• Perform stooping, kneeling, crawling, laying, bending, squatting, standing, and walking for long periods.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• $19.00–$24.00 per hour, with potential advancement after 90 days.
