Field Technician

Job Summary

The Field Technician will play a crucial role, leveraging their technical expertise in the water treatment industry to deliver effective solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction. This role involves working directly with customers to ensure water treatment programs operate efficiently, providing ongoing support, and communicating key insights to internal teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Project a positive and professional image of the Company by demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and a customer‑focused attitude, while adhering to all legal, safety, and procedural requirements.
  • Perform routine onsite service visits, system installations, and related support activities to ensure water treatment programs and equipment are operating at optimal levels.
  • Deliver clear, detailed service reports and communicate key findings to both customers and internal teams, ensuring alignment on customer needs and next steps.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing informed recommendations, accurate quotes, and timely order support to ensure satisfaction and long‑term retention.
  • Actively identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business by generating leads, presenting proposals, and closing new accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and service teams to provide a seamless customer experience and support ongoing account management.
  • Maintain current knowledge of water treatment technologies, products, and industry best practices to deliver high‑quality solutions.
  • Perform local travel on an ongoing basis to meet with customers within the assigned region.
  • Be prepared to travel approximately 5% outside of the assigned region for special projects or customer needs.
  • Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in water treatment, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply water treatment concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel locally with occasional travel outside the region.
  • Ability and willingness to physically provide service at customer facilities within a wide range of environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical education or certifications in water treatment or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of water‑cooled air conditioning / cooling tower systems, steam generation, and chilled/hot/process water closed‑loop systems.
