McCarthy Building Companies is looking for a skilled Welder with Fitting experience for our Mechanical team in Phoenix
, Arizona!

• The Candidate must be experienced with both shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), and tungsten inert gas welding (TIG).
• Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on civil construction projects.
• 4+ years experience in welding preferred
• Must have appropriate pipe certifications
• Familiarity with shop fabrication techniques and strategies required
• Experience using a cutting torch
• Must pass a 6G position welding test for carbon steel pipe
• Must have knowledge of Process Piping Systems/Isometric Drawings'
• Must be comfortable working in the prefabrication shop as well as out in the field.

• General knowledge of construction principles/processes required.
• Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships in a team setting.
• 6G Pipe Certified
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Knowledge of aspects of surface preparation, electrode storage, welding machine set up, etc.
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects
• Must be self-motivated
• Proven commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Ability to work in fast paced work environment with multi trade work activities at the same time
• Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test and be subject to random test throughout the Project
