Java Developer – Hybrid Onsite in Phoenix, AZ
Employment Type: Contract to hire (6‑month contract with option to convert to FTE). Eligibility to convert required; no visa sponsorship.
Location: Hybrid onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
We are seeking an Agile Java Software Developer to join one of our 7 Scrum teams. You will develop and maintain applications that process monthly payments, enhance online member services, and re‑engineer legacy client‑server applications into modern intranet web applications. The role is fully integrated into our Dev Ops pipeline, using Atlassian JIRA, continuous integration, automated testing, and cloud deployment.
Responsibilities- Write clean, maintainable Java code using Java 8/17+ and the Spring Framework.
- Develop UI features with JQuery and Bootstrap.
- Build automated tests with Cucumber and Selenium.
- Deploy applications on Apache Tomcat and manage Oracle databases.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Collaborate with business and technical leaders, and a Technical Lead, to ensure delivery of functionality.
- Proficiency in Java 8/17+, Spring, and related frameworks.
- Experience with front‑end technologies such as JQuery and Bootstrap.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium, JIRA, and continuous integration tools.
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases and Apache Tomcat.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a distributed Agile team.
- Eligibility to convert to a full‑time position; U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
