We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with hands‑on experience in manufacturing automation and a strong foundation in software development using Angular, JavaScript, Type Script, and CSS. As a key member of the Factory Talk product team, you will lead a team that creates a next‑generation integrated development environment (IDE) for the Factory Talk Batch product. You will join an Agile development team and play a central role in maintaining and modernising our software architecture to meet the future needs of industrial automation and supervisory control.

You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and work remotely within the greater Phoenix, AZ area.

• Develop and maintain software components using JavaScript and Type Script within the Angular framework and Rockwell's application framework.
• Help evolve the product architecture, incorporating modern patterns and technologies.
• Define user stories and development tasks based on the product feature roadmap defined by the Factory Talk Batch product owner and product manager.
• Collaborate with teams (QA, UX, product management, Dev Ops, User Documentation) to deliver high‑quality features.
• Use mainstream AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support full‑stack development across database, server, and web components.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and use tools like Jira or equivalent.
• Use Git/Git Hub or similar tools for source control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable code and support continuous integration and delivery processes.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; we will not sponsor employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Mastery of JavaScript, Type Script, and the Angular framework.
• User of generative AI based coding assistants to accelerate software development (Git Hub Copilot, MCP, and similar).
• Experience implementing manufacturing automation systems or industrial controls software.
• Experience using JavaScript libraries, web services, and mainstream standards such as Graph
  
  QL, JSON, REST, and similar.
• Experience with user‑experience considerations, software design principles, and version control systems like Git.
• Experience with Agile development practices and common collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Git Hub).
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Factory Talk products or similar industrial control platforms.
• Exposure to Rockwell preferred web development technologies (GoJS, Ag‑Grid, Apollo Graph
  
  QL, Microsoft Playwright).
• Familiarity with Dev Ops pipelines, CI/CD tools, requirements management systems, and automated testing frameworks.

Base Salary Compensation: $114,720 – $172,080, with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary.
