Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ
. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable microservices using Java and open-source technologies.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $49/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and open-source technologies.
• Implement asynchronous programming constructs and reactive frameworks to build high-performance applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and other service protocols such as SOAP and gRPC.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing (JUnit, Cucumber) and effective source code management using Git.
• Optimize application performance by analyzing heap dumps, thread dumps, and using Java performance tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and maintainable solutions.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Java and open-source technologies.
• Strong expertise in Core Java constructs (Collections, Exceptions, Streams, Lambdas) and asynchronous programming (Multithreading, Executors, Futures, Completable Futures).
• Proven experience with reactive frameworks (Spring Reactive, RxJava, Netty, Vert.
  
  X, Akka) and microservices development using REST APIs.
