Senior Full Stack Python Engineer

Our Phoenix-based startup client is seeking a Full Stack Python Engineer to join their growing core software engineering team. This full-time, on-site role (4 days in office, WFH Wednesdays) supports the buildout of modern, high-performance applications using Python / FastAPI and React. You’ll work on innovative products powered by automation and data-driven technology, contributing to a platform that streamlines complex workflows across multiple industries.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys developing new products from the ground up. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced technical founders and a small, high-caliber team to design, build, and deploy new software solutions—balancing autonomy, impact, and rapid growth as the company continues to scale after its Series A funding round.

• 4–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
• Front-end experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and database design
• Familiarity with on-prem or VM-based deployments
• Experience working in startup or small-team environments

• Exposure to machine learning, automation, or data-driven products
• Understanding of containerization and deployment pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Tech Breakdown

• 60% Backend (Python/FastAPI, REST API design, data modeling)
• 40% Frontend (React or comparable frameworks)

Daily Responsibilities

• 90% Hands-on Development
• 10% Team Collaboration and Code Reviews

• Bonus eligible
• Base Salary: $135,000-$185,000
