Senior Staff Engineer

A leading global financial services organization is expanding its Commercial Services technology group in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time, direct-hire position is based on their Desert Ridge campus (3 days onsite). The business unit focuses on all B2B and commercial products—an area experiencing rapid growth. They’re seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer (Director equivalent) with a strong background in Java, React, and modern cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to drive large-scale architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and influence platform-wide innovation.

This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on technical leadership without people management duties. You’ll guide architectural strategy, mentor senior engineers, and champion innovation across distributed systems and enterprise platforms. • 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Java (or Kotlin), JavaScript, and React.js
• Proven hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD pipelines (Git Hub Enterprise, Jenkins)
• Background in designing and architecting distributed, cloud‑native systems
