Senior Developer, Software Engineer
Senior AS/400 (IBMi) Synon Developer.
We are seeking a Senior AS/400 (IBMi) Synon Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. Your expertise in Medicare and Medicaid Claims will be crucial in ensuring efficient processing and management of claims.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical design and development of applications using Synon, AS400/COBOL and CLP.
- Oversee the implementation of system enhancements and new applications to meet business needs.
- Provide technical expertise in the Medicare and Medicaid Claims, Claims, and Payer domains. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems.
- Implement enhancements as per Software Development methodologies including Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Installation, Post implementation monitoring.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical processes and systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage and mentor junior developers to enhance their technical skills and project contributions.
- 6+ years of Lead/Developer experience in AS400 + Synon.
- Strong Synon coding skills.
- Experience in development in RxCLAIM application (Adjudication) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read COBOL/400 code for analysis and debugging.
- CLLE, CL/400, SQL/400, QUERY/400 knowledge required.
Work Location:
Remote (Phoenix, AZ). The position is open to qualified applicants in Phoenix, Arizona.

Salary:
The annual salary for this position is between $60,000.00 – $93,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
