Job Description

The Salesforce Engineer is responsible for the best practice in salesforce application development that delivers against our stakeholder design and vision in a scalable and re‑usable way where possible. The Salesforce Engineer has a firm understanding of Salesforce coding languages including LWC, Apex, SFI. You have experience with collaboration tools like Jira/ Confluence / Bit Bucket / Git lab.

Essential Functions
  • Design and build experiences in Salesforce Communities, Clouds using LWC, Apex and or at time Salesforce Industries Vlocity cloud platform
  • Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
  • Work closely with other developers to understand and properly use the platform components
  • Write both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks
  • Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
  • Help and mentor other members of the team
  • Be a member of a high performing Agile team
Qualifications
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Salesforce delivering software, integration or platform engineering solutions following a SDLC developer in Salesforce application development and administration.
  • Demonstrated experience using engineering practices to meet and measure functional and non‑functional requirements as well as comply with security standards.
  • Achievement of several Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience in Apex Code, triggers, custom object development, SFDC APIs, Web services, , Lightning Web Component development.
  • Solid understanding of at least one of the following:
  • Integrations and an understanding of API’s.
  • Deployment tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab, and other CICD tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with delivery supply chain projects that drive automation, self‑serve and high re‑use across the enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Demonstrated technical depth and experience with complex solution design and engineering.
  • Ability to lead design, development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of software and systems through engineering.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships.
  • Able to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring technical practitioners.
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, complex concepts to a non‑technical audience.
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence an asset.
  • Experience working in financial services industry an asset.
  • Knowledge of AI capabilities within the Salesforce platform.
  • Experience working in Contact Center and with AWS connect and Sales/Service console as agent desktop an asset.
  • Experience working in financial services industry an asset.
