Senior Backend Engineer - Python

Our client, a technology company supporting the utility and energy sector, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – Python to join their team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting product and platform development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and technical leadership ability, which will align successfully in the organization.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to backend architecture and engineering best practices

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience using Python
• Strong experience building APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks
