Senior Analyst, Operations Technology

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Senior Analyst, Operations Technology Engineering to join a growing team focused on driving operational efficiency through technology, innovation, and rapid prototyping.

This individual will take ambiguous business and field‑operation problems and translate them into practical, working technical solutions. They will own projects from initial concept and prototype development through user testing, deployment, feedback, and continuous improvement.

This is not a traditional reporting or business analyst role. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic builder with strong programming experience who can independently develop applications, tools, automations, APIs, and proofs of concept from scratch.

Take ownership of the technical development of operational technology projects and proofs of concept. Translate open‑ended business and operational problems into practical technical solutions. Design, build, test, and deploy applications, tools, scripts, automations, and integrations. Develop primarily in Python while applying strong general software‑development principles. Build and support user interfaces, web applications, APIs, and back‑end functionality. Transform raw operational data into usable tools and actionable solutions.

Take solutions from initial concept through prototype development, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Gather feedback directly from end users and operational stakeholders. Accurately incorporate user feedback into prototypes and final solutions. Collaborate across teams supporting fleet, EV, safety, camera, AI, and other operational initiatives. Adjust or rebuild solutions as priorities, technical findings, and user needs change. Present working prototypes, technical findings, and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership.

Own project outcomes rather than focusing only on assigned development tasks.

Three or more years of hands‑on programming or software‑development experience. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a technical solution from start to finish. Experience developing applications, integrations, automations, or functional prototypes from scratch. Experience working with APIs, web applications, databases, or operational data. Strong problem‑solving and systems‑thinking skills. Ability to turn unclear or open‑ended requirements into working solutions. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Comfortable working in an environment with changing priorities, evolving designs, and significant iteration. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, or a related field. Hands‑on Python development experience. Front‑end development experience with user interfaces or web applications. Full‑stack software‑development experience. Experience developing or integrating APIs. Data‑processing, analytics, or data‑engineering experience. Familiarity with SQL and relational databases. Experience with IoT, sensors, cameras, telematics, connected devices, or physical systems.

Experience supporting fleet, transportation, logistics, safety, EV, manufacturing, or field operations. Experience moving prototypes or proofs of concept through testing and deployment. Personal applications, technical side projects, or independently built solutions. Experience gathering feedback from end users and incorporating it into a technical product.
