As an Engineer II at Honeywell, you will develop, test, and integrate AI/ML capabilities into software applications and products. You will work with experienced AI and software engineers to build reliable, maintainable, and scalable AI-powered solutions. You will collaborate with software, product, data, and platform teams while continuing to develop hands-on expertise in production AI and software engineering.

You will report directly to our Director of Engineering, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

Note:

For the first 90 days, new hires must be prepared to work onsite 100% M-F.Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE2+ years of hands-on AI/ML software engineering experience, including developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. 2+ years of experience with prompt engineering, pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
2+ years of programming/software engineering experience using Python, with demonstrated ability to develop clean, maintainable, production-quality software.
3+ years of software engineering/programming experience, with strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one additional programming language such as C++ or Java.

WE VALUE Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with commonly used AI/ML frameworks and libraries &

Experience with Azure and/or Gemini cloud platforms.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes & model deployment and CI/CD for ML workflows.

Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.

Experience with evaluation, monitoring, and observability of production AI applications.

Knowledge of responsible AI, AI security, cybersecurity, and secure software-development practices.

Experience or exposure to multi-agent systems and autonomous AI agents with deep-learning concepts and architectures, including Transformers.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver production software solutions.
