AI Engineering Lead; Agentic Development

Niuro connects US companies with top engineering talent. For a US technology client, we are hiring an AI Engineering Lead to coordinate several autonomous AI engineering teams while staying accountable for accurate, usable software delivery.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. Success means accepted engineering outcomes, not the number of prompts or active sessions.

• Translate business priorities into clear outcomes, written task briefs, scope boundaries and measurable definitions of success.

• Coordinate parallel AI engineering work streams, shared code, technical decisions and dependencies.

• Configure AI coding tools, terminal sessions and automation, keeping objectives, progress and handoffs visible.

• Inspect code changes and tests, require proper review, and oversee safe integration, releases and real-world verification.

• Evaluate AI output through source review and meaningful tests, not automated summaries.

• Protect confidential information and elevate decisions beyond your authority to the right owner.

• 6+ years in software engineering, including technical leadership of concurrent development work streams.

• Hands-on experience with several AI coding tools or agent frameworks.

• Strong ability to read code changes, investigate defects, run meaningful tests and judge AI-generated output.

• Command line, shell scripting, Git and repeatable development workflows.

• Experience building automation for concurrent sessions or development processes; macOS or desktop automation is a plus.

• Precise written communication: task instructions, progress summaries and handover notes.

• Advanced English (C1).
