Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the dispatch function, coordinating with sales department, shipping, receiving, customer, delivery truck services and the logistics operations.
Job LocationThis is an on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Responsibilities- Familiar with the operation of end dumps, belly dumps and pneumatic trailers.
- Oversee incoming raw material deliveries using company assets as well as a pool of third-party carriers.
- Communicate with Plant Managers (or other responsible parties) about production schedules.
- Maintain open communication with Production throughout the day about any changes.
- Obtain material levels daily.
- Schedule third‑party carriers to cover demand.
- Coordinate company assets to best maintain efficiencies.
- Set up second‑shift drivers with load assignments during shift change.
- Communicate with Transportation Manager of conditions and discuss strategy.
- Monitor drivers’ records such as daily truck log, fuel tickets, delivery documentation, and any other required documents according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintain good customer relations.
- Oversee proper routine maintenance and repairs of company equipment.
- Provide assistance to Outbound Dispatch when needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of the product for product quality assurance.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands and fingers to use a computer and keyboard.
