Role:
A local well-respected public accounting firm with multiple offices regionally is looking to add a Senior Associate to their team. As a Senior Associate, you'll work across small businesses, high net worth individuals, as well as a diverse mid-market clientele throughout several industries. This position is a collaborative position with other tax / audit professionals both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with examining audit records and income statements.
• Participate in audit teams that test internal controls to ensure effectiveness.
• Recognize potential audit issues or unusual relationships from the analysis of complex financial statements and communicate them to the team.
• Inform supervisors of the engagement status and matters.
• Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives and the client’s engagement history.
• Identify gaps, deficiencies or non-compliance in business procedures, processes or systems, and communicate appropriate remedial action.
• Assist tax department with preparation of Individual, Corporate, Partnership and State Tax Returns for mid-market organizations.
• Effectively compile information requests for clients to make the return process as smooth as possible
• Prepare financial statement audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required
• CPA (or progress towards is required)
• 3+ years of public accounting experience at any size firm.
