As a member of the Comcast Global Accounting Organization, this role will be responsible for accounting and analysis related to various Sales & Marketing and Xfinity Stores P&L accounts. This role will support HQ business units for residential and business services customers as well as Division Business units. Responsibilities include preparation of schedules to support accruals, quarterly financial statement analysis, journal entries and various account reconciliations.

• Research contracts and regulations to determine proper calculations of payments to regulatory authorities.
• Ensure that balance sheets are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger. Research variances, determine root causes and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Enter monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper backup to substantiate the entry.
• Review financial statements for operating trends and results, researching variances to forecast and budget prior month and prior year.
• Prepare financial reports, analyzing data for management review.
• Research complex accounting data in order to comply with new accounting policy implementation.
• Research and develop automated Oracle routines such as mass allocations and recurring journal entries.
• Research ways of streamlining and standardizing processes to support the Accounting function.
• Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Perform accounting and analysis for various Sales & Marketing and Stores accounts.
• Ensure that balance sheets are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger through preparation of account reconciliations. Research variances, determine root causes, and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Record monthly journal entry financial transactions, ensuring they have proper support/documentation to substantiate the entry.
• Review financial statements for operating trends and results, researching variances to forecast, budget prior month.
• Prepare financial reports, analyzing data for management review.
• Assist with the internal and external audit process as needed.
• Research complex accounting data, in order to comply with new accounting policy implementation.
• Research and develop automated Oracle routines such as Automation workflows. Knowledge of Power BI, Data Analyze 360 or other Workflow Automation tools encouraged.
• Research ways of streamlining and standardizing processes to support the Accounting function.
• Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross functional teams independently on Projects.
