Excavator Operator at Delaware Valley Paving
Job Summary: Delaware Valley Paving is seeking a skilled and safety‑conscious Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, in a variety of job‑site conditions. You’ll be responsible for digging, grading, trenching, and site preparation work in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Operate excavators to complete construction and paving‑related tasks.
- Excavate trenches, foundations, and backfill as required.
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines.
- Proven experience operating excavators or other heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- OSHA certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of site safety practices and procedures.
