Elementary Special Education Teacher

Job Description

Cottage Seven Academy is seeking a special education teacher for their Phoenixville, PA campus. We are growing very quickly and need to open new classrooms to accommodate the influx of students. We are looking for the right teacher not just a certification. Our current teachers have cited a good quality of life as a key factor for their satisfaction when they chose to become a part of our team.

All PA state background checks are required and an instructional 1 certification is also required. We have a 50 student emotional support school with class size of 12 students maximum. We have developed a model that allows our teachers to spend their time teaching with lots of support from well trained high quality staff and administration.

Our academy is expanding quickly and we are seeking a dedicated employee to support the positive school culture we have created. There will be extensive training in the field of behavior intervention and climate management. The position is full time and we have a strong benefit package, matching retirement with comparable salary structure as a school district.

Cottage Seven Academy is a preferred inclusive special education option for many districts in Chester/Montgomery. We pride ourselves in the ability to provide a calm safe environment for our students to focus on themselves and develop coping strategies for success upon transition back to the sending LEA. We currently serve 19 districts in the area and our parents have been our biggest advocates.

We currently serve students in grades 1-12 with plans for expansion into more grades and geographical locations in the near future.
