Special Education Teacher

A rewarding position is now available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide itinerant support to children in community preschools. You'll work with a caseload of approximately 30 students, ensuring each child receives tailored instruction and support in various preschool settings.

• Active Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (emergency permits not accepted)
• Previous experience working with children with special education needs strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills for collaboration across multiple sites
• Ability to travel to various preschools within the community
• Passion for early childhood education and advocating for diverse learners

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to preschool students with special needs across multiple community sites
• Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs in collaboration with families and staff
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other support personnel to promote student success
• Maintain accurate progress documentation and complete required reporting
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development provided to support your success in this unique role

This contract opportunity offers 35 hours per week, following a consistent Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule. Guidance and training will be provided at the start to ensure you feel confident stepping into the role. Youll have the opportunity to work independently while also benefiting from the support of a knowledgeable team.
