Medical Assistant

We are a busy and supportive Outpatient Mental Health facility seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. We pride ourselves on compassionate, patient-centered care and a collaborative work environment.

The Medical Assistant will support our psychiatric providers by performing clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. This is a full-time position with no evening or weekend hours
.

• Chart in the EMR system (computer experience required)
• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and documenting:
  • Medical history
  • Current and past medications
  • Family and social history
  • Allergies
  • Reason for visit
• Prepare patients for examination, including taking preliminary vitals
• Ensure all reports, labs, and documents are available prior to patient appointments
• Triage and process messages between patients, front office staff, psychiatrists, and CRNPs
• Provide feedback and assistance for patient, provider, and pharmacy calls
• Process medication prior authorizations
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to multitask effectively
• Strong EMR experience (eClinicalworks a plus)
• Passion for patient care and customer service
• Flexible team player with excellent communication skills

• Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM
• No evenings or weekends

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 yr. of Medical Assistant or equivalent experience
• Experience with electronic medical records
• MA certification or other medical certification/license (ex. EMT, LPN, etc.) preferred
