Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits.
The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.
PRN Night Shift Night ShiftHours are 10:30pm-7am with 1 weekend a month and 1 winter and 1 summer holiday required.
Qualifications Education Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in clinical/medical laboratory science OR a Bachelors in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program, OR MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
- Prefer 1 year of experience
- ASCP or AMT Eligible
- Computer Skills to include use and navigation
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Multitasking
