Job SummaryThe Nursing Professional Development Practitioner uses tools, theories, skills, and knowledge of nursing professional development (NPD) to improve staff practice. The NPD Practitioner functions as a change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for the NPD specialty.
Responsibilities- Act as a change agent to improve nursing practice.
- Mentor nurses across various departments.
- Facilitate learning and educational sessions.
- Lead initiatives and champion scientific inquiry.
- Partner for practice transitions.
- Advocate for the NPD specialty.
- Education Requirements
- 4‑year/Bachelor's Degree
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience required; critical care experience preferred.
- Certification and Licensure
- PA Registered Nurse License
- ACLS Certification and instructor if responsible for specialty course program
- PALS Certification and Instructor if Responsible for Specialty Course Program
- BLS Certification
