Job Title: Nurse LPN or RN (Part-Time)
Reports to: Residential Services Director & CEO
Status: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Site: Living and Learning program (Phoenixville, PA)

Position OverviewThe Nurse is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the medical well-being of all participants supported by Parzival.
Promote a functional approach to health care: a patient-centered system focused on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease by viewing the body as an interconnected system. This involves integrating conventional and natural medicine to find and fix underlying imbalances, using personalized treatment plans that often include lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, stress management, and sleep.
Adhere to and promote Parzival's values in a therapeutic environment, including the use of organic and natural health foods, non-toxic cleaning products, and the importance of physical movement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-call and/or video call consultations and evaluations as needed.
- Assist in preparing individuals and staff with doctor and test appointments when it is necessary.
- Train staff on specific participant health protocols, restrictions, adaptations, and general diagnoses such as dysphagia, diabetes, dementia, and other necessary training.
- Provide and facilitate staff/team training, education, and meetings concerning medical issues, including non-oral medication training.
- Collaborate with program managers and DSPs in communication with families, and educate them on health protocols and treatments.
- Audit the medical section of each individual's record quarterly to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review and update Lifetime Medical Histories.
- Participates in development of health related policies and procedures.
- Conduct medication reviews.
- Act as a point person when an individual is hospitalized.
- Review and update all Health Risk Screening Tools.
- Work closely with the Residential Services Director and the CEO of Parzival.
- Work closely with participants and their teams.
- Perform all other medical duties as assigned by the Residential Services Director and CEO.
- Minimum two (2) years in a Licensed Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing capacity.
- Knowledge of Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
- Knowledge in and experience with OMHSAS/DHS requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Excellent ability to work with intellectually/developmentally disabled persons.
- Ability to train and evaluate direct care support staff.
- Excellent writing skills and record keeping skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of medical conditions, psychiatric conditions, and medications.
