Pay Range: $99,900.00 – $. Competitive pay with comprehensive benefits below.
Responsibilities- Directs the printing and sheeting production of all items at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications in terms of quality and quantity.
- Develops, recommends, and implements operating policies and ensures their application.
- Coordinates and collaborates with all plant departments to establish and carry out responsibilities.
- Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance.
- Provides leadership directed at continuous improvement in safety, quality/customer satisfaction, and productivity.
- Provides leadership and direction to production management and employees to continuously improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput.
- Assists and supports Plant and Operation Manager in all aspects.
- Protects and strengthens Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies; acts in line with core values:
Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork. - Other duties as assigned.
- Manufacturing experience required
- 3–5 years relevant experience within the printing environment
- Experience operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts and clamp trucks preferred
- 3–5 years of leadership skills with ability to motivate people to perform at high levels
- Excellent attendance; ability to work independently and perform essential duties satisfactorily
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience in a converting facility is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of roll stock cutting machines, printing presses, die cutting machines, and straight-line gluers is preferred
- LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic arithmetic, rate, ratio, percent, and graph interpretation.
- REASONING ABILITY - Problem solving with practical approaches and interpretation of instructions in various formats.
- MECHANICAL
- COMPUTER/OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS - SAP, MS Office and database programs; general office equipment proficiency
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Company issued Fork Truck Operator’s License;
Clamp Truck Operator’s License
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment; occasional alternate schedules including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends may be required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; varying positions and movements
- Climbing, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and handling equipment
- Ability to read, write, hear, see, speak, and operate computer equipment; PPE includes steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, hair/beard nets
