Registered Nurse RN - Progressive Care

We are hiring for the following positions:

• Full Time Weekend Nights:
  Every Weekend 7P-730A and (1) 12-hour shift during the week
• Full Time Nights: 7P-730A; weekend and holiday rotation
• Full Time Days: 7A-730P; weekend and holiday rotation

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Nursing Program

Certifications and Licensure:

• PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License
• ACLS
• BLS

Progressive/Telemetry:

• 32-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring.
• The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular disorders and cardio-respiratory conditions.
• The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including, but not limited to general surgery and cardiovascular surgery.
• Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac stent, cardiac device placement, etc.) are often placed on this unit. Medical and/or surgical patients requiring a more intensive level of care, as well as cardiac monitoring may be PCU level of care. Examples of the PCU level of care include but are not limited to vasoactive drug administration, invasive monitoring, advanced sepsis, and DKA.
