FCS is actively looking for an experienced Quality Supplier Manager for their top client in the Phoenixville, PA area. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a company that's recognized for being a "Top 1% of Best Companies" to work for in the US, and a leader in designing, manufacturing, purchase for resale and distribution of portable lighting equipment and solutions used in Military, Law Enforcement, Industrial, and Automotive applications.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the QA/QC Supplier team, providing technical oversight on the overall quality of products, and vendors. You will work closely with Materials & Engineering groups, Vendors, and Suppliers on new product development, manufacturing and delivery while identifying and leading Continual Improvement initiatives, determining defect root cause analysis and resolutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, and/or related field; with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Management / Supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment, with previous experience in overseas travel focused on QA visits with vendors.
  • ASQ CQE / ASQ CMQOE Certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing Quality Management System (QMS), performing scheduled supplier factory audits, and working with Suppliers to maintain and improve quality performance.
  • Background evaluating manufacturing processes, vendors and suppliers in regards to quality.
  • Develop and maintain approved product certifications, coordinate with new product development teams to locate and evaluate new suppliers.
  • Experience providing support on new product releases with Engineering and Suppliers to verify manufacturability and acceptance of quality requirements.
  • Proven ability to track and monitor QMS performance against established quality plans and measurable objectives.
  • Direct the planning, scheduling and implementation of Supplier Quality System and C-TPAT Audits.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification / Training preferred.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/UL, ATEX, IECEx, and CE product certifications is a plus.
