Residential HVAC Installer

Overview

DIRECT HIRE: A terrific opportunity for an experienced team player to join a dynamic company. The Installer is responsible for replacing modifying and/or installing warm air furnaces, air conditioners, duct distribution systems, boilers, water heaters, and related piping and electrical to meet or exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations and local codes.

Pay Range: $28hr - $48hr

• Startup installed equipment and adjust to manufacturer and job specification
• Communicate with customers regarding the proper operation and owner’s maintenance of installed equipment
• Answer customer questions related to operation, features, and functions of installed equipment
• Communicate with Project Manager throughout each project to assure proper and prompt completion of the job
• Continuously improve knowledge of construction in general and learn how the company operates to benefit the customer
• Perform required documentation for each installation with a complete startup record and have customers sign necessary paperwork
• Collect payment from customers as directed
• Communicate effectively with associates, superiors, vendors, and customers
• Ask and obtain customer referrals and web recommendations
• Must have a good working knowledge of products and services being offered. This may require additional study and training both on and offsite
• Build and practice superior interpersonal skills
• Should be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings and specification
• Be able to accurately list/order materials and supplies for use on the job
• Be able to work under time constraints, budgetary limits, and pressures
• Efficiently manage his/her time and schedules
• Be computer literate to the extent necessary to fulfill this function. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required
• Should also be very familiar with the use of smart phones, email, and outlook
• Be capable of understanding client needs
• Continuously learn through training from suppliers, trade shows, seminars, independent study, and other employees
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Complete all other duties as assigned

• Digital literacy, including but not limited to the use of smart phones, email, and text messaging
• Possess superior interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with associates, superiors, vendors, and customer

• Must be able to push and pull up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights more than 8 feet

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC installation
