Position: English Second Language Teacher for in-person lessons
Freelance English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher (Child) – Piacenza, Italy

Cartus  is seeking an experienced and engaging  Freelance English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher  to provide in-person language training for an 8-year-old learner in  Piacenza, Italy .

This assignment is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with children and can create fun, interactive lessons that maintain and further develop advanced English language skills.

About the Learner:
Age:  8
Current English Level:  Estimated C1
Native Language:  Italian
Previous International

Experience:

Attended an international school in the Netherlands for two and a half years, where English was the primary language of instruction.

The learner already has a strong command of English and is seeking continued support to:
Maintain and further develop English proficiency
Strengthen language skills for schoolwork and academic success
Enhance confidence and fluency in everyday communication
Continue meaningful exposure to English through engaging and age-appropriate activities

Candidate Profile
The ideal teacher will have:
Experience teaching English to children
Native or near-native English proficiency
The ability to deliver engaging, child-centred lessons
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity in developing activities, discussions, games, and learning materials
Experience supporting school-age learners and advanced young English speakers

Teaching qualifications and experience with international or multilingual students are highly desirable.

Lesson Format:  In-person
Frequency:  2 lessons per week,  1.5h per lesson

Saturday afternoons or evenings
