Position: OFFICE MANAGER

Overview

Job Summary:

This position reports directly to the Patient Clinical Manager. Responsible for overall day to day non clinical functions of the office. Responsible for office telephone calls and routing calls appropriately. Responsible for assigned daily work queues in the EMR as relates to registration, intake, insurance verification, and billing. Responsible for daily reports and working the data as needed. Assist PCM in payroll process.

Responsible for precertification process for insurance patients receiving approved visits and coverage of services and recertification of insurance and visits as applicable. Coordinates coverage change accounts. Responsible for ordering medical supplies through Lawson, filling supply requests, scanning supplies for billing. Maintains RN call schedule making changes as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Performance Expectations:

  • Demonstrates ability to create documents and utilize EMR.
  • Ability to process and obtain insurance certification and pre-certification through computer software systems.
  • Ability to scan, fax, and copy documents using assigned equipment.
  • Able to stock forms, order and distribute supplies and complete supply inventory.
Qualifications
  • Education/

    Skills:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Work Experience:

    Clerical work experience preferred. Insurance verifications experience preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure:
    Due upon hire;
    Valid Driver s License and proof of automobile insurance required.

Mental Demands:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, cooperate with others, work independently, and demonstrate initiative. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to problem solve.
