We're recruiting a Quality Manager for an established engineering and manufacturing business operating within a highly technical, project-driven environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control across manufacturing, assembly, testing and final product delivery.
You'll manage a quality team, maintain and improve the Quality Management System and work closely with Operations, Engineering, customers and suppliers to drive quality performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and continually improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring continued compliance
- Oversee quality inspection, testing and final product acceptance
- Manage non-conformances, root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Drive supplier quality performance and support supplier audits
- Lead, develop and support the Quality team
- Work closely with customers on quality requirements, audits and technical issues
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Proven Quality Management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and lead auditor training
- Experience with in machining, fabrication or multi-disciplinary manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills
- Previous experience managing quality teams and engaging with customers and suppliers
- An engineering or technical qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
Experience with in complex engineered products, project-based manufacturing or offshore-related industries would be advantageous.
The Package:- 10% annual management bonus (company performance related)
- 25 days' holiday + 8 bank holidays
- 5% salary sacrifice pension
- Life assurance (2x basic salary)
- 37-hour working week with flexi-time
- Early finish on Fridays
