Project Coordinator - Civil Construction

Maple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for a Project Coordinator to join our Civil construction division in Pickering, Ontario
. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of the Duffin Creek WPCP Biosolids Treatment Replacement project. As a Project Coordinator in our Civil division, you will support our Project Managers in delivering heavy civil and industrial-type projects. You’ll support the project team with documentation, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, while gaining exposure to various contract types such as Design-Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management.

Your key responsibility is to help ensure projects are delivered profitably, to spec, with high quality and a strong focus on site safety.

• Participate on heavy civil and industrial type projects
• Assist in preparing budgets and construction schedules, and set up project administration files
• With direction from the Project Manager, initiate and maintain correspondence with Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub-trades and suppliers
• Gain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations
• Assist with and/or clarify scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers
• Develop successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developers
• Ensure there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety Policy
• Attend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficiencies
• Close tenders in consultation with senior managers

• Minimum 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience
• Experience working on water / wastewater projects is considered a strong asset

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (depending on experience)
