Can Atom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RF ) of Units 5–8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the Can Atom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future.

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Senior Advisor reports to the EHS Director and is responsible for providing health and safety advice and assistance to the projects Line Supervisors. The Senior EHS Advisor will be responsible for supervising a small team of EHS Advisors that will be engaged in the development, implementation, and auditing of the Safety Program for the Projects.

• With guidance, provide leadership and direction to the EHS Advisors and line management in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS management systems and processes.
• Oversee and develop Employee environment, health and safety orientation and Site-specific environment, health and safety orientation to workers, owners, and clients.
• Mentor supervisors and staff on Aecon Health, Safety and Environmental Manual.
