Can Atom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RF ) ofUnits5–8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project,theCanAtomteam brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time andon budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future.

Area Manager has overall accountability for the progression of planning and readiness activities related to Pickering Steam Generators Replacement program. This position provides leadership and alignment for all activities related to the Pickering SGR. Reporting directly to the SGR Deputy Project Director, they are the primary point of contact to ensure a consistent, deliberate, and clear methodology is usedfor key decisions, and advancementofdeliverables their scope of work.

• Leadby example to ensure a “ONETEAM” Project-First, collaborative approach for internal, external, cross-JV and client-facing interactions. Createthe context that promotes this and other values that are required to make the project successful.
• Ensure the delivery of all its scope in accordance with safety standards, on time, on budget and compliant with the Contract.
• Provide regular and accurate progress updatesto the Project Manager, Can Atom Project Controls, andthe client for reporting purposes.
