Can Atom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RF ) of Units 5–8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the Can Atom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future.

Area Manager has overall accountability for the progression of planning and readiness activities related to Pickering Steam Generators Replacement program. This position provides leadership and alignment for all activities related to the Pickering SGR. Reporting directly to the SGR Deputy Project Director, they are the primary point of contact to ensure a consistent, deliberate, and clear methodology is used for key decisions, and advancement of deliverables their scope of work.

• Lead by example to ensure a "ONE TEAM" Project-First, collaborative approach for internal, external, cross-JV and client-facing interactions. Create the context that promotes this and other values that are required to make the project successful.
• Ensure the delivery of all its scope in accordance with safety standards, on time, on budget and compliant with the Contract.
• Provide regular and accurate progress updates to the Project Manager, Can Atom Project Controls, and the Client for reporting purposes.
• The Area Manager is accountable for the cost & schedule adherence and management of threats and opportunities, including timely escalation.
• Early identification of any threats to Project schedule or cost profile, or quality issues.
