YMCA PlayON Youth Instructor

Position: YMCA PlayON Youth Instructor Role
Join the YMCA as a PlayON Instructor and empower youth in Oshawa through engaging recreational programming. This part-time role offers the chance to deliver physical, nutritional, and wellness activities to children aged 4-14.

In this contract position, you’ll develop and deliver after-school programming until June 2027, catering to various high-priority neighbourhoods. As an instructor, you will lead diverse activities, focusing on fun, safety, and learning. Creating and maintaining a positive environment is essential for fostering growth and development among participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging youth activities

• Build rapport with students and community partners

• Monitor safety during all program activities

• Maintain a clean and organized environment

• Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions

Requirements:

• Previous experience with youth programs a plus

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Current First Aid/CPR-C certification

• Flexible scheduling for afternoon shifts

• Commitment to diversity and inclusion practices
