Position: 1.0 FTE Grade 1 French Teacher
Join St. Isaac Jogues Catholic School as a Full-Time French Immersion Grade 1 Teacher starting September 2, 2026. This temporary position is committed to enhancing student learning through immersive French language experiences.

The assignment runs until March 8, 2027, with flexibility for changes based on teacher availability. Applicants must hold a valid teaching certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers, possess Primary Basic Qualifications, and have native-like proficiency in French. This role is pivotal in promoting language acquisition among young learners in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create dynamic French immersion lesson plans for Grade 1

• Promote student engagement and participation in class activities

• Use assessment tools to gauge student understanding

• Partner with colleagues to implement best teaching practices

• Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress

Requirements:

• Certification from Ontario College of Teachers in good standing

• Primary Basic Qualifications and French language qualifications

• Native-like fluency in French essential

• Passion for diversity and inclusion in education

• Teaching experience at the primary level preferred
