Position: St. Mary CSS English/Religion Teacher Opening
St. Mary CSS seeks a dedicated teacher for Intermediate English and Religion, starting September 2, 2026. This 1.0 FTE position offers an opportunity to inspire diverse learners in a supportive environment.

As a temporary position within DCDSB, applicants must possess valid Ontario College of Teachers certification and Intermediate/Senior Basic Qualifications. The role focuses on enriching the educational experience of all students, creating an inclusive atmosphere that values diversity. Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate their commitment to representing traditionally underrepresented groups in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct English courses (ENG2D1, ENG4C1) and HRE1 O1

• Design differentiated lesson plans for student engagement

• Assess and track student progress effectively

• Work with colleagues to create a cohesive curriculum

• Encourage a strong culture of inclusion in the classroom

Requirements:

• Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers

• Intermediate/Senior Basic Teaching Qualifications

• Relevant subject qualifications for specified courses

• Experience with inclusion strategies in education

• Dedication to addressing the needs of diverse learners
