Position: Long-Term Occasional Teacher for Grades 9-11
Teach and inspire students as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher with the Durham District School Board. Focus on Geography and Indigenous perspectives while fostering an inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you will develop engaging lessons to support student learning in Grades 9 to 11. Your teaching will incorporate the Ontario curriculum, while nurturing a love for learning and adaptability to diverse student needs. You’ll collaborate with parents, colleagues, and the community for a holistic educational experience.

• Develop engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture

• Collaborate with parents and community stakeholders

• Adapt teaching methods for diverse learners

Requirements:

• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

• Qualifications in Intermediate Geography and First Nations studies

• Passion for creating supportive learning environments

• Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening

• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
