Oshawa YMCA Part-Time Instructor

Become a Part-Time PlayON Instructor with the YMCA, leading youth-focused wellness programs across Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, and Pickering. Inspire children aged 4-14 by integrating fun and education in physical, nutritional, and wellness activities.

This contract position is open until June 2027 and demands instructors committed to enhancing the lives of young participants through skillful programming. You will facilitate hands-on experiences in a supportive environment, ensuring that every session aligns with the YMCA's values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe and enjoyable recreational experiences for kids

• Implement engaging Physical Education and Nutrition programs

• Foster positive relationships with all participants

• Monitor safety across indoor and outdoor settings

• Maintain play areas and supplies effectively

Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with youth preferred

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

• Valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C certification

• Availability for various afternoon shifts

• Strong commitment to equity and inclusion principles
