Position: Long-Term Occasional Teacher Social Science & PE
Shape futures as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher for the Durham District School Board. Support grades 9-12 in Social Science and Physical Education, nurturing minds and creating inclusive classrooms.

As part of the Durham District School Board, you will inspire secondary students in Social Science and Humanities and Physical Education. Your vision will create dynamic lessons, assess student progress, and foster a supportive environment. Collaboration with colleagues and the community will enhance learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging lessons for curriculum alignment

• Assess and monitor student progress effectively

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

• Collaborate with community and parents to enhance learning

• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs

Requirements:

• Qualifications in I/S Social Science and Physical Education

• Ontario teaching certificate in good standing

• FTE of 1.0 for grades 9-12

• Background check with vulnerable sector screening

• Up to 10 working days for external hires
